GOAL: Create a design/imagery that could be understood universally.
For this project, I had to create a public service announcement for PSAid.org that would reach people around the world and would demonstrate why cash donations are the best way to support international disaster relief. I had the choice between creating a static image, a gif or a short animation video to submit and had to follow a set of rules and include certain information in their submission.
I opted for a static image featuring a puzzle to illustrate why cash donations are preferable. The puzzle pieces represent various relief items like food and medical supplies that cash can purchase. This signifies that during disasters, donating cash is more effective since it can buy all the necessary items directly when they're needed.
